International Non-Profit Association (I.N.P.A.) based in Brussels, SAPERE works for several years to improve the health and well-being through Taste education in Europe.
“Taste classes”, already implemented in several European countries and Japan, are a key factor of the fight device against overweight and obesity. Learning from childhood to become an informed consumer, aware of the differences and the interest of food through their smells, textures and taste is indeed the best protection against bad eating habits.
Every child in primary school and even kindergarten, regardless of family background, may acquire the ability to manage his diet to be healthy and have a better quality of life.
Beyond this nutritional vocation, “Taste classes” contributed to fundamental educational goals of the school. The process therefore benefits not only parents, children and teachers, but also public authorities responsible for education policies, health and food production. It is also relevant to professionals in the food industry eager to meet future consumer educated and knowledgeable.
